Hi there,

I tried to connect to some of my FTP accounts using Just Manager (the latest release- 0.1 Alpha 21) but it failed to open these sites, getting an error message that 'The URL does not use a recognized protocol', screen-shots below:

In fact Just Manager could not open none of my FTP accounts and I am sure that the problem is within Just Manager because I have no problems accessing my FTPs via either another file manager (MultiCommander):

or with a real FTP client (FTP Rush):

As far as I can remember (but not absolutely sure) I think I could connect to some of my FTP accounts using earlier releases of Just Manager. Now the FTP module of Just Manager is not working for me at all (my machine- XP SP3). I hope this will be fixed in the new releases of Just Manager, which is a very promising file manager.

Yes, it was bug since Just Manager 0.1 Alpha 20 and now it's fixed.

Thanks for the response.

I installed the file you suggested, and Just Manager connected to my FTP sites but it could not properly list the directories of some of these sites, please see the screen-shots below:

I tried several FTP servers and JM works correctly with them, so, I need any of your accounts to check.

By the way, have you ever thought of adding WebDAV support? It is uncommon feature even for FTP clients (as far as I know only Cyberduck, AnyClient and BitKinex support it) and even more rare for a file manager (I think there is a WebDAV plug-in for Total Commander) but since more and more services offer WebDAV and no FTP I suppose support for WebDAV might be useful not only for me. (As far as I know WebDAV support is planned for future releases of WinSCP).

Maybe I would have thought of WebDAV protocol, but I have a lot of other tasks to do, so not at this time.

Yes, the problem is resolved, I could connect to the above mentioned FTP sites. Many thanks.

By the way I was not able to change the colour of the active tab, I wonder whether I am missing something.

To use custom tab colors you'll need to disable "Use system colors for tabs" option (Settings > View > Tabs).
