Background color changes to blue from white when I move down or up but when I move to top (to .. line), the color stays white which is confusing.
I think when at top of panel at up-dir line (.. line on top) it also should change to blue.

Yes, double dots item ".." cannot be selected, it's by design.
Sir, I agree to what you say only because I consider you expert on this. To me it more looks confusing, when i walk up by mouse or up key from file to file and when I reach top, suddenly the momentum is lost. The visual display then stops telling me my current location. Moreover, I still have doubts on your comments that "double dots item ".." cannot be selected'" for the fact that I must select that line, maybe not to move delete copy etc. but surely I have to select that line to go up directory.
JM is the only file manager which is different on this from any other.
Please do not take my words as arrogance because I express only my reactions on this.
Now that I know this is a design issue, I must forget this issue.
