selection lost after multi rename

select a bunch of files (I have selected 13) then do a multi rename (I changed the extension only)
now the 13 files are no longer selected. (in my case only 3 were still selected)

keeping the selection is important for following file operations like move & copy or whatever one would like to do
with the selected files after renaming them.

Selection after multi-rename will be improvement and 3 still selected files - known bug that requires selection refactoring.

Bug with selection fixed.
Keeping selection after mutli-rename currently not supported.
