the tabs are not the issue, maybe i've deleted the paths manually, but fore sure I didn't touch the date_time_format.
good to hear about the check implementation for empty path.

Hard to implement, because such functionality will require ownerdrawing. That's why hidden files/folders don't use grayed icons too.

not to rush you ... but most FM support this feature:

OK, I found the bug. Drag & Drop works in Detail View but not in List View.

I wish it could hide empty devices as well (like dvd-drive with no disc) etc.

that's not my point. by default winexplorer does not show removable devices, that's what I suggest for JM.

tatool, you find a tutorial describing how to hide an dvd drive or hide any other device here.

not that I'm aware of, please show a how-to gif.

with that one could easily move/copy a file/folder one step upwards without having to leave the current panel.

you might be able to reproduce this issue as well by importing the settings file I sent you lately.

#112 Re: Old bugs » a40: drive letter not selected » 2013-04-18 20:46:55

issue is reproducible, at least for me:

I've added an tc encrypted container to my folder favorites, when mounted. dragging & dropping a file to it when unmounted leads to a crash:

#115 Re: Old bugs » Delete to Recycle Bin incorrect shortcut setting » 2013-04-17 19:16:12

I guess this falls into the same category:

#116 Re: Discussions » navigate to and open selected folder in new tab if SHIFT + double clic » 2013-04-16 21:06:06

OK working, though from a mouse hooked user's perspective a keyboard short cut is not quite the same as "SHIFT+Double_Click".

"by default" when deleting a file/folder stored on a network location or mapped network drive the file/folder is permanently deleted.

therefore the message box is incorrect. "Delete to Recycle Bin" check box should be rather unchecked and greyed out

WinExplorer shows the correct message:

I know, in winexplorer ALT+Enter and ALT+ double click work likewise; users used to the latter might be confused.

like in winexplorer. not sure if this used to work in a previous version, atm at least it doesn't for me even in a fresh JM Installation.

#121 Re: Suggestions » show one panel only command » 2013-04-16 14:37:11

yes, I have the same impression. maybe a custom standard panel view setting could solve the issue partially, when changing the panel layout one would get his favorite view for all panels at least.

#122 Re: Suggestions » show one panel only command » 2013-04-16 14:10:38

my standard view is list view, so each time I change the panel layout I need to change each panel view back. in my opinion that's not what users would expect. just an idea ...

#123 Old bugs » whole drop-down icon lost » 2013-04-16 00:32:41

create a whole drop-down
- change about icon to something else
- add a command to drop down menu
- custom icon is displayed
- close dialog
- add another command to drop down menu
- previous about icon is displayed
IAsxznH.gif

I'm not sure how this should work anyway, the top most command (in this case about) will never be executed,
though when added as "drop-down" it will. If it never executes then the Command tab is useless, or I'm I completely missing something here?

#124 Re: Suggestions » show one panel only command » 2013-04-16 00:00:03

OK I understand now. not sure if you're aware, changing panels layout changes list view to detail.
to reproduce change to 2x1, set both to list view, then change to 1x1, panel is now in detail view.

most important thing I miss in Multi Rename is the support for pictures EXIF metadata in order to rename pictures by date and time taken.
