implement the ability to open the button customization dialog via double click, like already implemented
in "Folder favorites customization" where double click has the same effect as pressing the edit button.
I think you should definitely fix this bug tough I'm not sure about possible performance issues.
navigat0r, most likely that the problem is caused by some settings, so I need Settings.xml.
congrats! you are most likely right with your assumption.
I've mailed you a broken settings file, I dunno what broke it, hopefully you'll find out.
I guess this not exactly the setting file used the video but after import you will notice that some things e.g. selection via CTRL+A do not work.
Can you reproduce problem on clean portable JM setup?
ATM I cannot longer reproduce the issue at home, so you may close this problem report for now.
I will post again whenever I figured out the steps to reproduce it on any machine.
Why "Program Files" is on D then??
I install all important applications like firewall and antivirus on c:\program files then I take an image of it.
all unimportant applications are installed later in D:\program files and D:\Program Files (x86) for the 32 bit stuff
as I'm not interested in restoring those program installation normally.
"C:\program files" is a special folder with certain restrictions in Windows, especially when UAC is turned on,
I guess these restrictions apply to "D:\program files" as well, maybe the issue is caused by that.
(I did a test where I've created and attached an .vhd as D: hard disk but the issue was not reproducible then,
so in order to reproduce, attach a real second hard drive, create a folder "D:\program files" and you should be able to reproduce it)
the problem is reproducible on my machine (with two hard drives). as you can see from the video OS sits on C: on a SSD drive, D: is another sata hard disk.
very handy feature, supported by several FM even WinExplorer.
ok I understand, i'm just trying to help improving JM.
I think it's not a bug at all. You've searched and got list, why it should be updated. It's not a panel, just search results.
while your objection seems valid at first sight you may also consider:
1. most FM work like this e.g. XY, or FC just to mention some.
2. the question is whether you consider/define the search result window as static or as dynamic.
from my point of view in any case where file operations are allowed, this is typically the case for instance in any open/save file dialog window,
the implication of such operation should immediately be visible.
ATM any file operation applied in JM search window leads to an obsolete/incorrect search result.
BTW I found another bug: neither the "Rename" entry in RMB context nor "F2" is working:
- search for something
- delete then a located file
-> search dialog still displays the deleted file, therefore file cannot be viewed, etc.
(well, I hope you don't call this trivial...)
the "System folders" Entry in nav. panel contains two entries "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86).
in a 32 Bit system both link to the same place therefore "Program Files (x86)" should not be displayed.
There is no command for such functionality.
would be nice to have it though, in order to show/hide the navigation panel via a button.
I'd like to add an button in the main toolbar to show/hide the navigation panel
but I cannot find a command for that in the "toolbar customization" dialog.
when changing panels layout eg from columns count 2 to columns count 1
previously collapsed Favorites and System folders are expanded in navigation panel.
(issue: panel layout change should not affect navigation panel)
